Convicted killer Derrick Sonnier was executed Wednesday for the capital murder of Melody Flowers and her one-year-old son, Patrick, in Humble, in Harris County, on February 18, 1993. He was pronounced dead at 6:18 p.m.
According to the Department of Texas Department of Justice, Sonnier refused to make a final statement.
