Raped and robbed in Queens ambush

A woman walking home from a hair appointment was ambushed outside a desolate Queens park, dragged into the woods, raped and robbed, police said.
The 3 a.m. attack on the 29-year-old victim near Forest Park in Woodhaven sowed fear in the area.
"We walk along the streets in the night," said Marna Araujo, 40, who lives nearby and visits the park twice a week. "It's empty. Now I'm worried."
"It's pretty safe," Jennifer Sullivan, 36, said. "It's not just sensible to come out here at night."
The victim had just gotten her hair done - a Japanese hair treatment that takes hours - and took a J train from Brooklyn to the Woodhaven Blvd. station, police sources said.
The rapist grabbed her from behind and told her he was armed. After the attack, he swiped her wallet, stealing $30 and her bank cards.
The assailant was described as a 6-foot-3 black man wearing dark clothing and a bandana.
