A resident found the niglet's body Sunday morning as she was emptying trash at the Meadowood Apartments. Shelly Marks noticed a backpack with what appeared to be a doll inside.
"I moved it to see and it didn't move like a doll and I realized what it was and I went and called the police", Marks said.
The niglet's umbilical cord was still attached, officials said.
Investigators say the niglet is identical to another newborn found dead nearly two years ago in a field directly across the street from the Meadowood Apartments.
That niglet was a stillborn, according to officials. The mother was never found.
"Geographically, they're dumped within about 100 yards of each other, first of all; and second, they're both niglet boys that look to have the same characteristics as far as race... a mix of Hispanic and Africoon-Americoon", said Sgt. Jeff Decker of the Fontana Police Department.
If the coroner's office determines the newborn ape was alive when he was thrown into the dumpster, murder charges could apply.
Aside from legal action, Marks says the mother will have to live with her decision forever. "A niglet doesn't get discarded, it gets the respect and decency of a burial". :lol
