To all my friends who had to endure ER "yard" tales; I just wanted everyone to know I've accepted a full-time position as an RN working for a hospice agency. This is a dream come true for me; my father was a hospice patient the last few days of his life; those nurses were angels on earth to me, and I'm grateful to be able to repay the debt and bestow comfort on someone else.
I'll now uncork the virtual champagne bottle; many many thanks to my friends here for their support and words of encouragement! Long live Chimpout! the best site, ever.-cheers-cheers

Good for you sweetheart! My daughter's mom does the exact same thing for a living! For her, it is very rewarding. (Unlike our relationship 10 years ago...:lol)
Best of luck to you my dear!

Congratulations and than you for becoming one.
My mom-in-law is under the care of hospice and we're very grateful for them and anyone that takes on that challenge. I think the nurse is helping my wife cope more than I possibly could.
You're great people for doing this.
