With little fanfare, a staggering 750,000 Chinese have settled in Africa over the past decade. More are on the way.

The strategy has been carefully devised by officials in Beijing, where one expert has estimated that China will eventually need to send 300 million people to Africa to solve the problems of over-population and pollution.

China is actually nearly as capitalist as Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore now. Mao is long gone. If you've ever been to China, most of the people in the cities are flourishing and advancing with their standard of living. The countryside of China is a different story, but more are moving to the city to have a better quality of life.

I can't fault the Chinese for not being practical, and giving up on failed ideologies, nor for looking after their nat'l interests. However, it is also not exactly a democratic regime either. The West has screwed up in so many ways: the giving up of the African colonies, often with the abandonment of the Europeans living there, the way the US of A gave up its manufacturing base, the increasingly insane policies of these "liberals", I see dark days ahead for the West in general, and America in particular.
