Will remain an all time classic. Talk about getting involved with the plot and characters!! I actually could picture the old route 66, visualize the government camp, and watch as the Joad men butchered the last of the hogs in preparation for leaving for Californy!! Great, great novel.:cff

Great, great novel indeed. I loved that book.,just reread it last year. Me and a couple of friends took old route 66 to California years ago. As far as I know it's still there.

I read this years ago while in high school, its such a timeless classic.
