There's another old expression that applies. " Rules are made to be broken." An to every rule there's an exception, and a mitigating circumstance. Sometimes, you have to know when to say .. fuck it. ..I would've emptied my weapon center mass, and reloaded. And I agree whole heartily with you, Shoot that piece of filth, it's not a sin. Since home invasions are on the rise all across the nation, those of us out here in the hills have taken it upon ourselves to look after each other.

It would take police a good half hour to get out here to intervene, as opposed to one of us down the road who can appear very quickly, and equipped to deal with the problem.
