Says it will be an act of war if he is charged. I say keep him in power and let him keep doing what he is doing.

UNITED NATIONS - Sudan's ambassador says his nation will try to persuade the U.N. Security Council to block a prosecutor from pursuing genocide charges against the Sudanese president.

Abdalmahmood Abdalhaleem Mohamed, in an interview with The Associated Press, says Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir is weighing all options, including an undefined military response.

On Monday, the prosecutor asked the International Criminal Court for an arrest warrant for al-Bashir, charging him with orchestrating the deaths of people in Darfur.

Mohamed also says al-Bashir likely will visit the U.N. General Assembly in September, and that Sudan would consider any attempt to arrest him a declaration of war.
