Whiteman's Burden

This is a book that I was required to read but man I thank God that this was pushed in school because it is an excellent story.
Those that are not familiar with it, it's worth the read.
It takes place in wartime (no enemy specifically named). Children are placed on a plane to fly to safety and the plane goes down in the ocean. The surviving children are marooned on a island with no adults around. The children organize but there is a split of factions between Jack(the head of the choir) and Ralph(sort of an independent) over how to conduct themselves.
Its sort of a good metaphor about the condition of the human animal and how we deal with each other, strive for power and how we deal with things.
The question is who do you relate to the most?
Jack.......
Ralph.....
Simon....
Sam and eric...
Roger...
Piggy....
most days I feel like piggy, expecially the last time he held the conch. Ouch!!!aaahhh
