Maleficarum

By Ambrose Bierce. A scathingly satirical view of one mans perception of life in 1911 in America. Extremely funny to this day.

Ambrose Bierce!! OMG, Malef, I was just about to start a thread on him! He has to be one of the most overlooked writers within the last 150 years. I also know this particular work as "The Devil's Lexicon". He was also quite the character. His "An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge" remains one of the creepiest, best stories out there, and has withstood the test of time

I heard Ambrose referred to as 'the devil's lexicon".
Most people tell me that "Incident at owl creek bridge" or some similar title was a good horror/suspense story.
