I know, I know the book JUST came out today (6/16), but I was wondering if anyone has gotten their hands on it yet and if so, what is your opinion so far?
I'm a fan of Beck's and I can't wait to get my copy of "Common Sense" but I also like to read what others have thought of it.

Once I started reading I couldn't put it down. Beck has done himself proud. I didn't know how good of a writer he was or could be, but this is excellent. The MSM, cartoons, movies and politicians along with progressive schools system have tried to destroy common sense in this country and have done a job on a large portion of the public, Beck has attempted to correct this situation. I just wish more people read these days, its like reading is perceived to be something negative these days.
I also picked up the compilation of Thomas Paines "Common Sense" stories to read as well.

I picked up his An Inconvenient Book a few days ago. So far it's very good.

Thanks for the reminder on the Inconvenient Book, Clorox and CTYT. I couldn't put down Beck's "Common Sense" as it expresses what I have seen and in the past 10+ years or so as well.
BTW: he has included John Paines "Common Sense" in his book as well. It is cool to read what the founding fathes actually wrote at the time. I didn't realize theat within 7 months of Paines book the Revolutionary War started, it crystalized what the masses were thinking.
I picked up Liberal Facism as well, just started to read.
Happy 4th of July and to many more to come.....

I like Glenn Beck. He doesn't much care for guys like me, but he is a good man. I'll pick up a copy of that and check it out. Say Coontown- You should get a pdf file of Bentley Little's "The Collection" at your site.... Its amazing.

Thanks for recommending it, guys. I'm almost done with it and will put up a review before too long.
I am the type of person that really needs to be enthralled with something in order to sit down and read a book about it; normally I just skim through.
Never was Beck's biggest fan, but I'm starting to like the guy more and more. I still think he has an incredibly corny and try-hard sense of humor that gets on my nerves, but otherwise I think he's a fairly smart guy and often tackles issues that other fake conservative talk show/radio show hosts won't touch, i.e. ACORN.
Not a bad read at all, and I'm also surprised to see a number of books written by conservatives about the current administration filling up the non-fiction best seller list.

His heart is in the right place. It really is. I also get the feeling that it's not so much about "him", as it's about the message.
Sometimes it's hard to get a handle on his sense of humor, but if you know anything about his past (his mother committed suicide) and his very real struggles, you really kind of forget that he's not always that funny.
A good, good man.

It is definitely a good read. I would also recommend Mark Levin's Liberty & Tyranny.

Just started reading it. It's incredible. It should be required reading for every book club in this country and a "must read" for those who want our country back.

I think of him as the Conservatives answer to Keith Olbercrap. His presentation is similar, but a notable difference is he isn't a flaming moron. Still, I don't think either man was born to be a comedian. Yet there's nothing like the way he makes libtards squirm during interviews- that's hilarity.
I really like Beck's take no bullshit attitude, so I will read his book.

There is no such thing as 'common' sense. To say that sense is 'common' is to suggest that everyone has it,and we know that this is not true.So there is only sense, and the lack thereof.

I just started reading it now. I also picked up copies of Brave new world, animal farm and 1984 since they are very close to being on the banned books list.
Ron Paul's "The Revolution: a manifesto" is a must read if you enjoyed "Common Sense."
OK, I've finally got around to finishing Common Sense. Twice. I didn't read it a second time because it was so great, I read everything twice to make sure I didn't miss anything the first time.
When I first started the book, I was fairly impressed. I had the feeling that Beck was going to lead from simple common political sense to something transcendental or some revolutionary idea.
I had no such luck.
With all due respect to Glenn Beck fans, the book is well-titled; it's Common Sense. For anyone that reads this board (political forum) or has any knowledge of how our government works at all, this book will not teach you a thing.
Politicians are disingenuous criminals who say whatever it takes to get votes; the government lies; the government has too much power; the government is forever reaching for MORE power; Americans have been very haphazard spenders and live above their means, etc., etc. It's all there and all fairly obvious for everyone but the dullest witted.
This is not a shot at Glenn Beck. He's done a ton to bring the true agenda of the Obama administration forward into millions of Americans' homes. I especially commend him for his work on attacking the ACORN niggers and Van Jones. He has an extraordinary fan base and his message reaches a huge population. You can't help but respect that.
Moreover, Glenn Beck has found a literary niche with this book; common sense. Unfortunately, many of us become so confused and so enraged with the current situation that the trees begin to fade into a green haze; the forest is nowhere to be seen. In that case, Beck's book comes in handy. Sometimes we simply need to be reminded that Occam's Razor plays a key role in all of our lives; the simplest solution is usually the best.
That said, I think the book is still worth owning; can't go wrong for a little over ten bucks. Thomas Paine's writings are also very good, but his style and prose are a bit eye-straining and boresome. Nonetheless, it's amazing that what was common sense over 200 years ago still eludes those that WE vote to represent us.
