A rape SUSPOOK was found dead and hanging in his cell at the Norfolk City Jail on Tuesday evening.
The Norfolk Police Department is investigating the death of 51-year-old Dwayne Clifton Hill, and the sheriff's department is conducting an internal investigation.
Hill was discovered hanging in his cell at 5:22 p.m. Tuesday. He was in a single-occupancy cell because he had been classified as a "high-profile case."
Hill had been in custody since July 4 and was awaiting trial on charges of rape, abduction, indecent liberties with a child, assault on a family member, the use of a firearm in commission of a felony and the possession of a firearm by a felon.
