"Speed" and "Kentucky Ham" are worth a read. The old man is worth a read too. :lol "Junky" and "Naked Lunch" are two good ones by Burroughs Sr.

"The Naked Lunch" scared the bejesus out of me when I first read it in college for some reason. Somehow, I just didn't equate that particular time period with heroin addiction.

I have lots of William S. Burroughs Sr.

I got to meet with him on a couple of occasions.

Even got an autograph and a "custom shot" t-shirt.

I once went to visit WSB at his home in Lawrence, KS.

As promised, he chased us away with his shotgun :lol

(and he was a bummer!)

I think my favorite WSB book is Western Lands. It's also the last fiction book he wrote.

I didn't know that Jr. followed in his Pa's really, really, REALLY fucked up footsteps! Naked Lunch is a frightful mess of a good read (Shitty movie) & sad to admit it, I hadn't finished Junky, so perhaps it's time to go visit a bookstore & get me some! I lubs me some books, sho' nuff!
