Guitarplayer.com and guitarplayertv.com have some good stuff. There's lots of stuff on YouTube and the web in general. Just Google guitar instruction. Tons of instructional DVDs at Amazon.com.

guitar, trumpet, piano.

Ever heard Sonny Burgess? He had a trumpet in his group "The Pacers" and it was awesome. Sonny did some great stuff but he's not well remembered these days. He's still around and still performing and recording.

I play the guitar fairly well, and have been on a few records . I am a frustrated bass player, would really like to spend more time with that. About anything with strings I can get a tune out of. I can bang on that drum about well enough to keep time. A couple of months ago my daughter got a cello for school orchestra, and I mess around with it late in the eve, seems semi promising, although I have never worked with a bow before. I am a master at Fur Elise on the keys, I just could never figure out keyboards. I am dyslexic, and it seems I can figure things out by tone, but have a very difficult time learning music in the traditional way. Oh I bought a trumpet at a garage sale a few weeks back and will try to irritate the neighbors with it soon.thumbsup

Oh my daughter just reminded me, I can play "Jimmy Cracked Corn" with my armpit! Isn't that a disturbing image?

Some of the sites mentioned are good. What I like to do is if I am interested in playing a song, I will find it on youtube and odds are there will be people playing it on guitar. I just watch the video over and over again till I get it. Before the internet, we would play a cassette over and over till we got a new song that we wanted to learn to play.
