I have yahoo as my homepage. I used to type in chimpout.com and my browser would display something that said chimpout.com site may not exist. I would click on that and it would take me here. Then I started having to type in the complete url and I would get the same message and click on it and it would take me here. Now, no matter what variation that I type in, all I get is sites with a reference to chimpout.com. I have to open that window and click on a hot link that will take me here. Is anyone else having to access the site that way. If not, how do you get here???

That's odd. I just type in www.chimpout.com, my browser fills it in after "c." Are you using internet explorer? It has a built in search engine in the url window, that may be the problem.

I am using internet explorer. I'm not real slick with the computer as far as how change any of that stuff. If anyone else using internet explorer doesn't have this problem, please tell me how you access the site.

I'm still having trouble myself and I'm using Firefox. I have to click on my bookmark 3 times, everytime. Hitting refresh any number of times just doen't seem to work. Dunno. At least I can get in. :thum

When you get to the page, switch the page format to "default". (Lower right corner.) I was getting tons of page errors without it.

Toecutter,

What I did was after I got into the site, I set it as one of my favorites. Then all I do is click on favorites and scroll down to Chimpout.

I also have it set as one of my bookmarks in Firefox. No matter which browser I'm using, Chimpout is only 2 clicks away.

This works for any site you go to on a regular basis. It saves time over having to type the URL over and over.

Hope this helps.

Since some of you are trying IE let us make certain that some things are done first:

1) Windows update, make certain your computer is updated, to do this click on "Tools" then "Windows Update" and follow the instructions and repeat as needed.

2) After it's fully updated adjust the following setting "Tools" then "Internet Options" then under the "General" tab at the "Browsing history" section click on "Settings" on the section "Temporary Internet Files" click on the radio button where it states "Every time I visit the webpage" and then "OK".

3) If using Xp click on the "Advanced" tab next, check the following boxes:

a) Under Browsing
i) Automatically check for Internet Explorer updates
b) Under HTTP 1.1 settings
i) Use HTTP 1.1
c) Under Security
i) Do not save encrypted pages to disk
ii) Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed
iii) Enable Integrated Windows Authentication
iv) Phishing Filter
a) Turn on automatic website checking
d) Use SSL 2.0
e) Use SSL 3.0
f) Use TLS 1.0

4) Get a good continuous anti-virus program one that's self-updating, continuously scans, removes, or quarantine viruses when found. You can go to the "Downloads" section here and download Avast anti-virus.

This should minimize the problem on your end after doing all this, some of the temporary file settings storage and internet boosting programs will reload the page error if the previous history of the page is stored on your computer (that's why I set IE to always check the latest version of the page and clear the temp folder out). I would still highly recommend for everyone to download and install Mozilla instead, but I would recommend using a pendrive and portable apps (http://www.download.com/PortableApps-Suite-Standard-Edition-/3000-2064_4-10608887.html?tag=lst-1&cdlPid=10608886), this way you can use this on any windows based computer, the one you have now and any future one you intend to use.
