Jeez, I have XP on my comp and want to install Vista along as an alternate OS,( I like them both), but it is soooo confusion on the way to do it. I've Googled it and get this way and that and partition the hard drive but still can't do it. Anyone have any ideas?..:usflag

Are you using a laptop or desktop? First do not choose the upgrade option. If it's a laptop consider upgrading your drive, partition it first (depending on the harddrive size partition at least 8gb on xp, and I'd suggest at least 64gb on Vista), then reinstall xp, after you're in xp install vista from there using the advanced install option and select the second partition. If it's a desktop just get a second harddrive and install it while in xp selecting the advanced option then select the new harddrive as the location for the install.

Here's a step by step tutorial (http://apcmag.com/how_to_dualboot_vista_with_xp__stepbystep_guide_wi th_screenshots.htm) on how to set up for dual boot.
On a somewhat similar note, I've been wanting to build a dual boot HackingTosh/Linux box some time and finally acquired all the necessary hardware and software.
The last thing to arrive was a Lian-Li case. Unfortunately, the case arrived with a large dent on the top so I had to send it back for replacement.
If you're interesting in building a computer that uses off the shelf PC components and Mac OS-X take a look here (http://www.insanelymac.com/)!
