I luv me some good trashy summer readin'. If it's got a good fast plot, maybe a murder or two, tawdry affairs (NOT featuring some magic nigger either!) I'm in.

Anyone got any recommendations? I'll start with a couple of my favorites, old and new. Oldie but goodie, anything written by Robert Ruark, for members of this site you might really enjoy Uhuru, about nigger uprisings in Afreaka in the 1960s. Ruark was a southern boy and one of the last 'great white hunters' of Africa back when it was mostly white ruled colonies. Most of his stuff is about hunting.

For modern trash I enjoy Carl Hiassen, James Patterson and Robert Baldacci among others. Always open to suggestions though. There's a really neat used book store in my town. Nothing like a store where you can feel good about cleaning out a shelf and come out with new stuff to read and cash in your pocket!

Sounds like some interesting ideas for summer reading. I've read James Patterson before and cannot usually put him down, once I start. For me, I will probably get the next installment of the Stephanie Plum series (they make me laugh out loud). There are niggers because the stories are set in Trenton, NJ. However, the niggers are portrayed as niggers--no super buck heros and no coalburning. Other than that, maybe Joan Hess (no niggers at all, very funny and quick and easy to read), and for more of a challenge, I'm going to drag out all my Ayn Rand. Given the days we live in, we all need to read Atlas Shrugged (or reread for some).

Try Lee Child's "Reacher" series if you haven't already. It's really great stuff.

I just finished "Nothing to lose'. I'm not much of a mystery guy but this was a pretty entertaining read. I'll be looking for more Reacher titles on my next trip to the book store. :geek

Two books by Paul Theroux:

Dark Star Safari...an account of his journey from Cairo to Cape Town via public transport. Niggers everywhere! :chuck

The Happy Isles of Oceania...an account of his journey through the south Pacific islands... many of which in the SW Pacific are nigger-inhabited and quite primitive. wohohoh
