skeet or trap? Both are fun.

Just be sure to "firmly" seat the butt of the shotgun on your shoulder. Otherwise it will hurt you.

And you will need to "lead" your target a bit. Just as you would if you were throwing a ball to someone who was running along.

Trap is easier than skeet. I would start with trap.

Shooting stuff is always fun...follow the advice about the butt of the shotgun though. I tore my shoulder out as a kid but I ws using a 20" double barrel coach gun!

Old Me: Yes it is quite fun, but even better with loads of beer.

Now: I would recommend that you skip the beer part if you are a first timer.

Skeet skeet nigga! And pidgins don't deserve to die for practice with rifles, when fake works just as well.

I'm surprised that clay pigeon shooting is even allowed over there.

I shoot trap every Tuesday .It will take you a little while to get the hang of it
you have to lead like was said we use 7.5 shot .
Skeet is different the birds come at all directions
Go do it you will have fun .If you have never shot a shotgun before take
a few shots at something and get used to the recoil so it dosent shock you
it isnt that bad .And the closer you hit it the easier it is.
At first you may want to wait and try and bead in but use more instinct .
Also make sure someone shows you the CORRECT way to sight the gun.

Good luck have fun
Just wondering how much is it over their to shoot 50 .

It's a blast! I would recommend #8 or #9 shot for your clay birds. You might want to start with a 20 gauge with a recoil pad. Have fun!
