thanks to everybody for listening, our next show will be live, probably giving us 20,000.

bad news folks. switchpod is merging with another site, thus we will either have to pay, or find another free site. We will do our best to find a host, but thanks for your listership. our may first live show will be free.

Would hosting the MP3 files on this site help?

I think all of the radio files have been converted to CO files, but I can't be sure, hopefully an admin can clear this up. The live show on the first won't be effected, but we do have to find a new host for future episodes.
our goal is to make all radio shows for free.

I think it would, as all our show are made in mp3 format. Of course, hosting them on
CO's server would be up to the admins, as there would certainly be some bandwidth
issues to consider if the shows are hosted on here.

Hmm...that might be a good point.

So I did some math, using conservative figures (assuming it'll be more that it will be, instead of less).

So...

Size of a single file: 41.2 MB (size of the largest file)
Total Downloads so far: 18,000
Time period covered: Just under 5 months.

Therefore:

41.2MB x 18,000 downloads = 741,600 MB

741,600MB = Just under 724.22GB

724.22GB / 5 months = Just under 144.85 GB per month.

Is that doable? Not sure. Those are just the figures I came up with when doing the math.
