Did you notice the racist valuation of the drugs in question? I called a girl I know who's into 'partying' and asked what a bit of coke would cost around here. She made a call and told me she could get me an '8-ball' (one eight of an ounce) for $350.

If this dealer was a white man, the 'street value' of that dope would not be some 12,000 bucks... quick math says at 350 an eight, a fuckin pound is worth $48,800 and you know damn well a prosecutor would calculate based on the value of cooke CRACK... making the charges far worse. Furthermore, possession of more than 200 grams is supposed to be an automatic federal charge for distribution... where are those charges? 400 grams (a pound is 454 grams) would send a white man to prison for 10-20 years.
