Father charged in scalding death of girl, 1

It was the father, not the mother, of a 1-year-old girl who spilled boiling water on the child last month in Aliquippa, causing her death, police said.
Troy Moon was arraigned yesterday on charges of homicide, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and two counts of child endangerment.
District Judge C. Douglas Loughner ordered Mr. Moon, 37, held in the Beaver County Jail without bail, pending a preliminary hearing at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
According to a police affidavit, Mr. Moon and Trinity's mother, DELONDA Tucker.
