Montequa Jackson
Eighteen-year-old Montequa Jackson is charged with assault.
Police say she stabbed someone five times.
The victim is said to be in stable condition.
Assistant Chief of Campus Police, Kenny Brown, says the incident started on Fraternity Row when a black student walked his girlfriend home.
As he left, he encountered four white people, two of whom don’t attend U of L.
Something sparked a heated verbal exchange which soon turned physical.
That’s when police say Jackson stabbed one of the white non-students.
Police are still trying to piece together exactly what happened, but they have been told a racial slur could have been involved.
