I gotta go with Heathcliff. He is a bad ass, while Garfield is just fat & lazy. I think Heathcliff is actually funnier as well.

I like Heathcliff a little better than Garfield, but the cat I named one of mine after is far more surreal....

Namely, the 20's and 50's cartoon hero, Felix the Cat! Remember him, with his weird bag of tricks and surrealism? My 3-year old grey tabby is proudly named after Felix the Cat.

I suppose I shouldn't vote in this poll, due to a lack of information. I've heard of both, though it's Garfield that I've read a lot more.

However, in my opinion, Garfield is definitely a nigger. Let's see....fat, lazy, uppity, greedy, and expects everything to be provided to him for free. Yep. Sounds like a nigger to me.

I don't get Heathcliff in my local paper, but I do get Garfield and I must say that, while it used to be funny at times, IMO Jim Davis used his last grain of available humor at least 10 years ago. It's time to let the strip die Jimbo... let it go...

I voted other, I never really liked either Heathcliff or Garfield.. I always liked stuff like the farside, Madd magazine Harley Daveson magazine, the jokes in Penthouse.. crazy shit like that.
