Mesa woman punched, carjacked in broad daylight

A woman was punched in the face and had her car stolen in the parking lot of her apartment complex located near Dobson Road and Emelita Avenue.
Mesa police said it happened Monday at about 4:30 p.m. as the woman was backing out of her parking space.
"The suspect is described as a black male"
