This is a little before my time and I am not certain here but weren't the songs Dancing Queen and YMCA from that era? It must of came out when the dope started getting better because those songs suck.

Hey KFC, you might get a kick out of this. I was listening to a sport talk radio program sometime back. The guy was interviewing John Smoltz. I can't remember how the subject came up, but Smoltz said one time when he was coming out of the bull pen to the mound, they played Dancing Queen over the stadium PA.

I hear he's going to take over for Paul Rodgers and Queen.

I had forgotten how much truelly horrible music came out in the 70s. You youngsters be glad you did not have to live thru it. I notice no one has brought up "Funkytown". It easily qualifies as one of the most repellent ditties in modern memory.

Even though he's a niggerloving Canadian, I appreciate a lot of Neil Young's stuff. But this one took the cake as one of the most horrible songs I've ever heard in my life: Southern Man, released 1970.

oh gosh, this is so tough........so many stink bombs from that decade.....I myself have to vote for "Afternoon Delight"; that song, I tell you, is like fingernails on a chalk board for me, also, anything by the Captain and Tenille (remember that awful show), and every single nigger song from that decade..........blechhhhhh

After living through the 70's, there are so many songs that I try to forget, but still they're there....
Get down Tonight-KC and the Sunshine Band
Billy don't be a hero-??????
Pina Colada-Rupert somethingorother
Rock the Boat-Hughs Corporation
Anything by Donna Summer
DISCO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Saturday Night-Bay City Rollers
Beth-Kiss(I really liked KISS, just hated this song)
Anything by Shaun Cassidy, Leif Garret, Andy or any other Gibb, i.e. Pretty Boy corporate music...
Kung Fu Fighting
Tell me something Good-Rufas
Not to be a dork, but there was a time when I could sing along with C.W McCall on all of the lyrics of Convoy...
And the list could go on all night.........................

It's impossible for me to come up with a worst because there's just so many. Here's one that always irritated the hell out of me with it's nigger loving message and banal musicianship. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68i4tMmv9F4 And here's another. If you can make it that far watch for something being thrown at the stage at about 1:15. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P23WCKgZGgo
