Still, Hekate did a great job of livening up the show and I thank her for her
participation! I enjoyed the second half of the show much more than I
did the first half.

I think it was another good show. But I must say I was somewhat disappointed to hear "Hecate" is pronounced in 3 syllables...He-ke-ta.

There is a body of water separating British Columbia, Canada, from the southern-most part of Alaska called the Hecate Strait...sometimes spelled Hekate...pronounced "Heck-ate" by most commercial fishermen. I assumed Hecate was an English version of same...but, alas....

On the other hand, there is a prominent headland on the Oregon coast called Heceta Head...named after the Spanish sea captain/explorer Bruno Heceta.

The inbred, uneducated commercial fishermen around here pronounce it "Heck-ate" while the intelligentsia pronounce it "He-sea-ta".
