Don't know if there are any foriegn film fans here.
I know Dr. Bloor is a film guy but never see any foriegn film discussions here.
Anybody ever see any of Zbigniew Cybulski's films? Fantastic. He is known as The Polish James Dean. Brooding, dark, and tragically, dead, at a very young age. If you haven't or are just starting out on your foriegn film adventure may I recommend the film "Ashes and Diamonds". This guy is absolutely fantastic.

Please, do check it out. And guys, yes, there is a hot gal in it and also lots of action.
Also, another few foriegn films I would really like to share:

Kolya- a Czech film about a hopeless Czech bachelor and the little Russian boy he winds up caring for in the absence of the arranged marriaged single Russian mother. So cute and touching.

Witnesses- This is a Croatian film about 3 brothers who are Croation soldiers during the Balkan War. The story is told from the 3 different brother's points of view and it's done in a very interesting way with some neat twists. Lots of guns and bombs so the guys may want to check this one out.

My Life As a Dog- This is a classic Swedish film and you have probably seen it. It's about a little boy that goes to live with his uncle and aunt in a little Swedish village. Oddball locals and eccentric villagers abound. With Hanson and his hammer, hilarity ensues. Very funny and very touching.

Most people tend to avoid these foriegn films because they think that they are weird and twisted, too esoteric, whatever. I can assure you that all of these above films are very straight forward and very easy to follow.
Just wanted to share that all with you. Hope you check these out if you haven't already. Anyone else a foriegn film fan, I'd love to know! Thank you all for your time!
