“Too often bills are rushed through Congress and to the president before the public has the opportunity to review them,” the campaign website states. “As president, Obama will not sign any non-emergency bill without giving the American public an opportunity to review and comment on the White House website for five days.”

Obama signed the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act only two days after it received final passage last week, and it wasn’t posted on the White House website until after it became law.

The Children’s Health Insurance Program Bill which is what this article was discussing was signed the next day it was passed through congress. You can read the Chimperor's comments on it here:

That is why we have passed this legislation to continue coverage for seven million children, cover an additional four million children in need, and finally lift the ban on states providing insurance to legal immigrant children if they choose to do so. Since it was created more than ten years ago, the Children’s Health Insurance Program has been a lifeline for millions of kids whose parents work full time, and don’t qualify for Medicaid, but through no fault of their own don’t have – and can’t afford – private insurance. For millions of kids who fall into that gap, CHIP has provided care when they’re sick and preventative services to help them stay well. This legislation will allow us to continue and build on these successes.

To go along with that, one of Obamadinejad's biggest promises during the campaign was "transparency". We've yet to see any whatsoever. He tried to slip that overseas abortion bill under the door, as well as the general public being totally unaware of any of the pork associated with the "economic stimulus package". Just add it to the list of broken promises, TNB and monkeyshines we'll see for the next ??? years.

"obongo will not sign any non-emergency bill without giving the Amercian public an opportunity to reveiw and comment on the White house web site for five days." and then what happens? obama signs the bill anyway's? obama is trying to run this country into the ground, and now he's using the Brady bill as a template.
