It’s been posted before, but if one person saw it that did not know what’s going on, you did a good thing!

He is well known for not being a friend of the 2 amendment. It appears that just about any politician that comes from that area (Chicago)is anti gun in addition to just being a sleazy slime ball.

Many people get those surplus ammo containers the military uses for 30 and better yet 50 cal BMG rounds.

They are easy to carry/move/stack and are equipped with seals and are virtually water/moisture proof.

The best place to store ammo is an area that is dry and does not get major weather changes. Humidity can be a major problem in some areas.

Well made and stored ammo has a shelf life that will outlive you and your grand kids!

The only other things I would add is;

DO use those Mil Sur ammo boxes, but throw in a packet of anti-dessicant, those little packets of silica sand. (Like the ones they put in boxes containing new leather shoes, and electronics) Make sure the seal (gasket) on the boxes are intact.

Store away from heat sources. (common sense)

Seal loose or boxed ammo in vacuum-lock or ziplock bags.

Ideally, then place the cans (boxes) in a safe, or even a spare (non-working) refrigerator. Put a lock on it.

Ammo stored in magazines over a period of time will weaken the feed springs, and cause mis-feeding in a lot of weapons.

It was old BLOC surplus in a sealed tin.

If you can, get ammo in sealed tins like that. It lasts a looooong time.

I know your post is most likely a gag but I would not suggest keeping more that a couple of magazines loaded at a time. Aside from the ammo being exposed to humidity the magazine springs get used to being compressed and tend to misfeed when it gets down to the last few shots usually resulting in a jam up. Keep a couple around loaded and every few weeks rotate the ammo or go plinking with it. Periodically remove the springs clean the magazines and stretch the springs a bit before reassembling.

Also rice is a good substitute for keeping out moisture if you don't have silica gel packets. I'm gonna go hit the used gun shops and at least get myself a rifle too. Get yourself an assault rifle if you can afford it now as well.

Get yourself an AR-15 and if you can find an AK-47 or AK-74, you are in business (especially if you can find someone who used to serve in the Cuban or Russian military). You should have three types of guns at least again, if you can afford it including the aformentioned. A handgun of a lethal caliber that can be concealed lowest caliber would be a .380 Kel-Tec, highest caliber would be a snubnose .357 (wink wink) Taurus. And lastly, get yourself a good 12-gauge shotgun. I personally like Mossbergs but it's up to you. If you're on a budget like me, get yourself a Phoenix or Taurus .22 caliber pistol. They are very small and .22 ammo is dirt cheap....just make sure you buy the most expensive ammo (CCI Stingers) and make sure that they are hollow points (for lethal non-lethal rounds) as these guns are anal when it comes to cheap ammo. Get yourself a Marlin 60 Series rifle. They also use .22 caliber bullets and can hold 15, not to mention it's the world's most popular rifle and parts are accessible easily. Also, their range is incredible. Lastly, you cannot live without that 12-gauge but you can go for the lower price onces like Remington over Mossberg. Not as pretty (well depends on taste) or as small, but gets the job done. And if you don't have a C.C.W.P., for God's sake, get one.....and your passport if you don't already have it. :chaingun:ac
