About ten days ago in the Albany NY area 2 jigs went and stole a bunch of tombstones from a outfit that sells them. No names or anything on them just a few finished chunks of Granite, weight of a few hundred pounds apiece. Even veteran cops could not understand why they were steeling those HEAVY clumsy stones. They could not be used for counter tops or items like that!

Sorry I do not have a link, but this was in a couple local papers a few times (Schenectady Gazette & the Times Union)

They were loading up a large rental truck in the middle of the night and wondered why they were caught

My research leads me to believe that these fine young entrepreneurs probably made a deal to supply a local funeral home at a huge discount.
