And we thought that the idea of a monopoly was what was holding up the Sirius-XM satellite radio merger.

Nu-uh.

Nope. It's about setting aside a ton of channels on the new satellite conglomerate for "minorities" and "public broadcasting." So says the BUSH-nominated "Republican" chairman of the FCC, Kevin Martin. Who needs liberals when Republicans are doing the "Heckuva Job"?:


Much of the attention at the FCC over the next few weeks will focus on the issue of satellite channels that are set aside for noncommercial programming and minority-owned programming. FCC Chairman Martin suggested 8% of the combined company's lineup be devoted to noncommercial and minority-owned stations, or 24 channels total.

I listen to Sirius 4 days a week and on every new Howard show he dedicates 5 min or so to bitch about this. As a matter of fact he was bitching about this 8% nigger thing today. (Jesse Jackson was wanting 20% nigger content, even though the niggers invested no money or time in Satellite Radio!)

Howard made a damn good point today. He said just give it to them because it will just fade away with time because there will be no demand for it. He's completely right.

Niggers are not the only reason this merger hasn't gone through. The main thing is that normal radio is dying and the corporations behind saving radio are basically lobbying congress to delay it. Hell, oil and airline companies have merged faster and easier than this is taking!

Yes, it's just another attempt by niggers for a shakedown but there are other things going on here too. Once this merger happens, there will be something for everybody on these channels at an affordable price. Monopoly my ass.

I have Sirius and I love it.

The exact reason I got it is because the rock radio stations went to shit when Grunge and nigger "music" took over in the 1990s and as time went by the radio content became progressively worse and worse until I couldn't take it anymore.

I used to love radio. I used to listen to the radio all the time.

Let the niggers have a few channels. That's the great thing about satellite radio - I can find a channel for anything I want.

Usually I listen to Sirius Big 80s, Totally 70s, First Wave, and Classic Rewind.

I had only heard the monopoly issue over and again but I'm not surprised about this. Whatever the case, people are willing to pay for good radio and it makes most sense for the consumer for the merger to take place. One doesn't even have to flip to get past nigger channels, you can just hit the numbers for your favorite station. I hope the merger does go through soon.
