Police have stepped up patrols around schools in Hucknall after a teenigger approached a ten-year-old girl and allegedly told her: "I want to rape you".
The incident happened as the girl was on her way to Beardall Primary School.
The suspect, who is believed to aged 16 or 17, first appeared alongside the child on a bike at the bottom of Carlingford Road, at its junction with Annesley Road, at 8.20am on Tuesday, June 3.
He is alleged to have followed her to near the Half Moon pub, in High Street, where he made the alleged threat before fleeing.
The youth is described as black, tall and wearing grey McKenzie tracksuit bottoms. He spoke with a local accent and his bike was black with green writing on it (most probably stolen)
