Commercials for Levi's have been getting trashier and trashier. I mean, how can you sell jeans when they're only shown lying on the floor while the actors are making out. This one though really pissed me off. I'll let you make your own observations.

Levi's used to be the name in jeans, and offered a great value for the money. A few years ago, the majority of their manufacturing went overseas, and the quality went down dramatically. Cheap materials, shoddy stitching, poor fit, etc. Even Ralph Lauren admitted himself that he couldn't make a pair of jeans as good as Levi's.

This is no longer the case. Apparently, the corporates at Levi's put a hell of alot more into smutty advertising than into the craftsmanship of the product. Levi's are no longer a "lifetime" brand, where a pair of their jeans could outlast you. Now they tear at the slightest tug and are shitty quality overall. I'll never buy a pair of Levi's again.

Somewhat off-topic, but if you're looking for a decent pair of jeans I'd go with Gap, Banana Republic, J. Crew, American Eagle, Abercrombie & Fitch (hit and miss though, some of their stuff isn't worth shit), or hell, even Old Navy makes a better pair of jeans than Levi's does.

I just buy Wranglers nowadays. They seem to hold up fairly well.

As for that video, is that shit being aired on national television? Holy Shit! I don't watch much TV, but Good God!

You can send Levi a nasty e-mail about their commericals. I'm sure there are plenty of folks who can't stand the niggeruxated marketing madness we have seen over past few years.
