Reporting directly to the Equality and Diversity Manager you will assist the department in influencing and shaping equality and diversity good practice in order to achieve its strategic priorities and objectives.
The key areas of the roles are as follows:
Developing and implementing policy, looking at what the organisation need from a policy from an equality and diversity perspective and putting these to the committee to be approved
Reacting and dealing with a wide range of issues at all levels of the organisation, these can range from low level to more complex issues and the individual will need to assess the issues, advise on the risks and offer alternative approaches to action
Any issues/cases that arise as a result of equality & diversity policies it will be this individuals remit to managed the casework
You will be involved in equality impact assessments, offering support to managers through this process
You will also ensure the effective communication and monitoring of equality and diversity policies, procedures and practices, and co-ordinate the collation and analysis of data required to meet policy and/or statutory requirements
Even the MSM is cottoning on to this outrage
