I remember a similar story that I saw a while back about AIDS cases in the St. Louis, MO, USA metro area. I wish that I had a link for it, but it pre-dates CO.

The relevant map is on page 11. Also in the study are maps showing the incidence of other STDs; not surprisingly, they are all concentrated in the same areas.
