View Full Version : Help me get Far Cry 2 tolerable!
Al Sharpton's Race Card

I just got a hold of this game, and even though I meet the minimums (as far as I know) the benchmarks are very shaky!
My system is a Pentium D 3.0Ghz dual core, 2 GB RAM, 320 GB SATAII HD with about 92 GB free after a full install, and a Radeon x1600XT video card.
What settings should I go with for this game?

If you may have to go with the minimum settings and unfortunately with an ATI card you're going to have to mess with possibly different drivers (the unofficial Omega drivers). Minimum settings from I've tried in the past means you can load up the game and play the trailer, but the actual game play usually is very frustrating at best. Luckily for you the Nvidia 8800 and 9600 card prices have dropped quite a bit, if you really want to game you may have to make a hardware change instead.

Thats unfortunate you even bought that game, you will be highly dissapointed if you played FarCry(original). It's so damn frustrating.:al

Unfortunately I bought this boring ass game already.
It's got to be the worst game I have ever installed.
And the only one I have ever paid 50 dollars for that I will uninstall without finishing.
It has nothing to do with the first Farcry.
And did I mention that its BORING?
