Justin Belnavis shot his girlfriend in the chest after she told him she wanted to break up and to leave her Richmond apartment. Then he shot a neighbor as she was calling 911.

Belnavis' girlfriend, Marquisha Carter-Taylor, had injuries so extensive that she suffered a collapsed lung and had to have her sternum and part of her rib cage removed.

But even after surviving a violent attack, Carter-Taylor still supports her man. She testified on Wednesday in Richmond Circuit Court, during a two-day proceeding, that she still wants to be with Belnavis
