Dana Kozlov HARVEY, Ill. (CBS) ― Dozens of mailboxes remain empty after the post office suspends service in one south suburban neighborhood. Some people get angry when their mail is late. But in Harvey, people have been waiting for days and days. They're not getting any mail at all. CBS 2's Dana Kozlov reports that one mail carrier in Harvey feels threatened.

The U.S. Post Office seems to think that this is one of the most dangerous blocks in the country. People who live on it say they haven't gotten any mail delivered to their homes in almost two weeks.

Harvey used to be a good Polish neighborhood.

There are still a few hangers on, but it is yet another example of an area that has been overwhelmed.

I'll never forget going there years ago with own of my cousins to visit a friend of his when the change was still in process. My cousins are half-Polish (its okay, I just talk slowly and enunciate), so they have connections over there. Well, we didn't make it all the way to the house when we saw my cousin's friend. Evidently, a nog had tried to steal a tool box from his garage.

So, the sight that greets us after we turned a corner was a nigger runnig down the street. Better yet, behind him and gaining ground fast was a really big Polish guy (our would-be host) on a ten-speed with a baseball bat and gaining fast.

My cousin jammed the car in park and we jumped out. The nigger repsonded by trying to run back the other direction. He ran straight into our host and caught the bat right in the face. It looked like a bonus round from the old video game "Joust". I swear I saw daylight under the nig's feet.

We just let him bleed where he lay and went back to the house and cracked open the beers as we had planned before the rude interruption.

When I visited them all a few months back, that guy was there at the party my cousin was having. He told me that the same nigger could be seen in the neighborhood until they finally moved out of there. The coon was missing three teeth and had a broken nose. That house never had a problem with burglaries again.

About 15 years ago the post office was doing the same thing in a bad area of Adelanto. LA niggers flocked out there in the early 90's when some developers went bust and there were a lot of cheap new homes available. (They don't work and as long as they get their public assistance they can live anywhere.) Niggers had to go to the post office to get their checks for about a year then finally got in to big organized chimpout over it. A buddy of mines wife is a mail carrier and she got stuck with that route after they decided to resume service. She's still doing that route with no problems. Seems the gangs actually learned something and they protect her. Word on the street is that anyone messes with the mail lady and they get stuck in the dirt.

And a mailman who saw someone get shot a few yards away from him, is forced to go into this cesspool to deliver welfare checks and food stamps to these spearchuckers who can't even act civil to the person bringing them their handout. Now Jones, who says her own home has been broken into three times in 30 days is talking to her neighbors about the mail problem and what should happen next.

Jones says someone from the post office told her they were going to put a cluster box for mail at the corner of 152nd and Marshfield. But she says that's not a good idea.

"We have a lot of elderly people, a lot of older people that's working, and for us to have to go to that corner to pick up our mail, that's unsafe for us," Jones said.
