Considering that the "witch doctor" in Africa is a "scientist" and "physician" of sorts, you just need to know about the witch doctor. Witch doctors are gulliable, stupid, ignorant and greesy. A GREAT combination for TNB and monkeyshines. Thousands are poisoned each year drinking "potions" mixed by said "scientists" and "doctors". Thier favorite things to make people eat (aside from human flesh), are potions with high lead and mercury contents. When the patient gets sick it is seen as getting rid of the evil "mojo" that entered through thier anus. There are frequently no real antidotes to these poisonings, but cures are offered. For a price. $$$. These poisonings may last weeks or months. The sicker a person gets the more money is charges for a more powerful potion. Many are required to sacrifice thier wives, daughters (and sons) for sexual purposes. And there are credible reports of human sacrifice and cannibalism of family members.

All you ever need to know about African "science" or "medicine" is that it is the polar opposite of human medicine. Imagine the most backwards, superstitious, ignorant, illiterate practicing medicine and the deaths and TNB that will follow, and you will understand.

Theres a pseudo christian hospital/monastery in ethiopia (it was in the news recently) that claims to cure people of aids by chucking buckets of "blessed" water over them.

Naturally you have to pay (comparatively) quite a lot for the "treatment".

Also try male and female circumcision as a preventative treatment against HIV, raping babies to cure yourself of it and then the old fashioned "putting on a stupid mask and dancing around a camp fire like a bellend" to cure, well pretty much anything.

Oh and look up doctor beetroot. Former south african health minister who espoused the idea that eating beetroot is better aids prevention than, you know, wearing a condom?
