I was just discussing Alice, and thought I'd share some photos I took at a recent show in Houston.True enough,it's not the original Alice Cooper Group, but alice still rocks anyway, and most of the set was his old material, from Love It To Death up to Welcome To my Nightmare. He did do some of his newer stuff though, which was definately worth listening to,but the old shit was the shit!

I saw him last year, and it was one of the best gigs I've been to.

Thanks for the LOVELY pix, Nigger Knocker. What MEMORIES you bring back!!! Don't know whether to laugh or cry.
My Mom was CONCERNED when I was a teenybopper, that I loved Alice, while all the OTHER girls were crushing on
Donny Osmond...EEEEEWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alice was my FIRST crush. I FIRST saw him on a TV show called "The Midnight Special" doing his hit song EIGHTEEN.
I was in junior high, 7th grade. "Eighteen" came out in 71...I discovered Alice in 72.
I was the ripe old innocent age of 14.

(That was way BEFORE my brush with death with the niggers who TRIED to turn my whole world upside-down...
Before I started to believe that monsters were REAL and they were called nIGGERS.
Never MISS a chance to get that nIGGER BEETCH-SLAP in!!!)

*Some facts about Alice you may not know:
Alice was the FIRST musical band to throw theatrics into the show.
(Quoted from Rizzle McDizzle: "Not only is he the ORIGINAL shock rocker..." You know yo sheeyit, Rizzle!!!)
Alice made the FIRST music video, "ELECTED," way before MTV was even an idea in some TV producer's head.

ROCK ON, ALICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU :)

PS: I have a video tape of Alice called "THE NIGHTMARE RETURNS: THE ALICE COOPER SHOW," copyright 1987.
It is probably out on CD now...
But I seem to think there is ANOTHER one I have that tells his life story...I just can't find it at the moment.
There is also a BOOK out about him called BILLION DOLLAR BABY(or BABIES)...can't remember the author...probably out of print now.

Alice was definately an inovator in the music biz,and inspiration to other musicians, and often copied, but I'm gonna have to go with the Beatles for inventing music video.Or perhaps Elvis with his 'Jailhouse Rock' video.

Oh hell yeah! I LOVE old Alice Cooper. I still have "Love it to Death" on vinyl! Back when I was 16 and I had a rather bad marijuana habit, I used to play "Black Juju" over and over again- stoned to the eyeballs. I haven't smoked pot in over ten years, but every time I hear that song, I can almost smell the hash...:lol

Remember The Ballad of Dwight Fry?

I spent many a day, stoned out and listening to that song.

The Melvins played here about a year ago and the covered that song. it was Awesome!

I love his radio show.

The stuff he plays is all over the map and some of it just plain odd.

I LOVE Cooper. And The Ballad of Dwight Frye is one of my favorite songs. Rings very true after you've spent a long weekend in the cuckoo's nest!
Alice plays the MI State Fair every year...he was raised in AZ but born in Detroit. blackmetal84 & I have been to see him twice, but we missed this year because of work. Major suckage.
His show is awesome, nobody does theatrics better than dear old Alice. I always watch as close as I can to see when they swap him out for the dummy during his "execution," but no matter how hard I try not to blink, I always miss it.
