This happened about a year ago...Apparently, she-boons are afraid of birds. I went to the pet store to have my birds wings and nails clipped. As soon as I walk in the store, everybody knows me, I take the birds out of the carrier and walk around with both of them perched on my shoulder, because they are well trained and very tame. My birds are cockatiels, and weigh about 200 grams combined.
So the groomer takes the birds in back, does his thing, comes back out a few minutes later and puts them back on my shoulder.
At the same time, a she-boon walks in with her spawn, and comes toward the counter where I was standing to pay for the grooming, and she didn't notice right away, what was perched on my shoulder.
One of the birds flaps it's wings just a little, and the she-boon jumps backwards...."pleese put dem away, i doant want dem flying on me!!
I just said relax, they're harmless as I was putting them in the carrier anyhow.
The she-boon said "i hurd stories about birds, dey fly in in yo hair an carry diseases!"
I just shook my head at that point, said goodbye to the staff and left. That she-boon looked like she just saw the KKK in her rearview mirrorkkk
