Ever heard of Svalbard???

You probably have not - unless you are a nerd like me who stares at maps wondering what some places in the world would be like.

This is a very big island way north of Norway. I can guarantee there are NO NIGGERS THERE!!!

How can I make that assertion? I found this little tidbit on the place:

you could always go to the Principality of Sealand, its much warmer and theres also no niggers there, though it might be too small for some.

I liked banff lake in canada. But the more stories I hear, the more that country is losing my vote. I like this place, so quiet, empty and you could hear yourself think. You guys got good taste in scenery.thumbsup

Yeah...I've heard about Svalbard. It sounds like an interesting place. There's a Svalbard website...

But you can't go there and rent a house or apartment to live in unless you know someone...even then, its a company town...Longyearbean, or whatever.

There's also a Russian colony on another fjord on the island (by treaty) with a coal mine that exports coal to, where else, Russia.

But you can't go there.

Polar bears, arctic char and ice. Tundra...no trees. Mosquitos, and how! That's Svalbard.

Might be fun for a week or two in the summer/fall but I bet it sucks to be there for the other 9 months of the year.

Of course I know Svalbard, I'm Scandinavian :lol It looks very awesome, but I fear that I couldn't convince my girlfriend to live there with me.
