I was playing as the Carthaginians on a real world map, everything was going smoothly until I encountered the zulus. First they stole iron working off me (quite an early tech), I decided against declaring war because I didn't have much of an army ready.
Then 300 years later (15 turns) they send another emissary who demands I give them philosophy (which leads to university and eventually things like invention and democracy...like thats going to help niggers). When I inevitably refused they chimped the fuck out and declared war. Thankfully i'd invested in some chariots and legions since I met them and they were handily pwned. All their cities conquered and I had a new bunch of slave colonies that needed extensive infrastructure building (where have we heard that before).
Seems sid meier understood TNB when he made the game lol
