FORT LAUDERDALE - A Fort Lauderdale homeowner shot and wounded a would-be nigger who tried to get into a white mans house shortly after midnight today, police said.
Michael Anderson, 35, has been charged with burglary and aggravated assault in connection with the incident in the 100 block of Southwest 31st Avenue, police spokesman Sgt. Frank Sousa said.
Anderson is accused of ripping open a porch screen to try to get into David Hadden's house, and then charging at Hadden with something in his hands when the owner confronted him at about 12:18 a.m., Sousa said.
Hadden, 50, fired several shots from a weapon, striking Anderson, police said.
