Fuquay-Varina, N.C. — A Fuquay-Varina woman is accused of burning her son with a cigarette, according to an arrest warrant.

Carlotta Best, of 115 H Baytree St., was charged Friday with one count of misdemeanor child abuse.

The warrant states that a cigarette burn found on her son's arm last October was intentionally inflicted.

Best was given a $1,000 secured bond and scheduled to appear in court March 28.
