Teacher fired for allegedly having sex with student
Why do they call him a teacher? He's a glorified assistant and track coach. Big fucking retard!
LAGRANGE, GA (WTVM) - The LaGrange Police Department is looking into an alleged scandal at an area high school.
Travis Hart, 24, was arrested and charged with sexual assault by persons in supervisory or disciplinary authority.
Once officials at LaGrange High School heard that an employee was having sex with a student, they say an internal investigation was launched.
Officials tells us there was enough evidence to fire Mr. Hart, a para-professional and assistant track coach.
It is believed the sexual assault incident occurred last Thursday on school property, just after school dismissed.
Catherine Holmes, PR Director for Troup County Schools said, "Anytime a student is put in a situation where their safety is jeopardized, we take it seriously, without a doubt. There are code of conducts between employees and students and there was a breech of that, those ethics."
Ellis Smith is Hart's lawyer, but also knows him from personal experience. Hart coached Smith's son in football and he says, "I have found Travis to be a good man, a good leader. I think that anybody that worked with him, had contact with him, football team, track team, male or female, band member would say nothing but good things about him."(He was a good boy?)
As Hart's lawyer, Smith, had not discussed the incident with anyone or began to investigate (an investigative lawyer?), so he could not comment on the case at this time.
Hart is currently out of jail on bond.
