Just learned about this author in my American Lit class. While reading an excerpt from her book "The Private Journal Of a Journey From Boston to New York" I came across the fact that she hater niggers too! (keep in mind this was penned in about 1705. Here is what she says about niggers:
"But indulgent to their slaves, suffering too great familiarity from them, permitting them to sit at table and eat with them, (as they say to save time,) and into the dish goes the black hoof as freely as the white hand":bucket:gibs:gibs
