Those high cut swimsuits/leotards were pretty hot, but the hair, makeup, etc was just wrong. Even back then it was more funny than hot.
Also, Lita Ford is a dude, going by the Ozzy/Lita video.

I have to disagree about the music. There were loads of great bands around in the 80's..... Just not on Mtv and VH1 or your local radio station. That seems to be an issue throughout musical history. You have to actively seek out the good stuff.... It rarely falls in your lap...

But, the women.......yeah, there were some seriously ugly hair, makeup, and clothes floating around back then.....

poison was like a stinky nutsack that never got washed, at least the bangles were cute, did good songs, and wore makeup for a reason.

They were around a good long while before Prince got a hold of them and turned them into the Susanna Hoffs band. And even managed to have a minor hit in "Hero Takes A Fall".

The REALLY shitty part of it was that it was originally the Peterson sisters' band.

She was a coal burner. She admitted it on the Joan Rivers talk show.... And yeah, it was with Prince.

I always liked the redheaded bass player girl. Michael Steele........ But why would you name a girl "Michael"?

I am probably going to make some of you feel really old, but I remember watching that Bangles video and laughing at the people "walking like Egyptians"....when I was three years old.

I may have only been an infant at the time, but looking back, I don't know how anyone thought anyone else was hot, considering how androgynous the 80's were.

blackmetal84 is probably going to call me out on my obsession with David Bowie. But Bowie did androgyny well. And who doesn't love the video for China Girl? Besides the rice-burning aspect of it, that is.

I was 10 when I saw this video, and 80's chicks were hot. I really can't explain to anybody born after 1978, but 80's girls dressed like whores but were just normal girls trying to look good.
The added bonus was they weren't covered with tattoos and strange piercings. 80's girls were a tease into the mid-late90's
Now, It's just a buffet of sorts.

Sheeyut. I remember the '80's. I remember the birth of MTV, when they used to play music. Massa you got that right about eighties chicks, no coon worship going on. Birdman, you got that right about girls today, no morals, no scruples, waaaay too many miles on the odometer. Nocturnal, I cook pork in a rice-cooker, big time, and I rikey a rot. I even noticed SST seems to have a picture of Angkor Wat, a place on my list of spots to see before I die. And I gotta admit, I'm guilty of being a Bowie fan, even if he is married to a nog and had sex with Mick Jagger- revolting to be sure, but a great singer and songwriter. Although I gotta admit I like Death Metal, Black Metal, Punk and stuff like Black Sabbath the most. The eighties were a different time. Innocent and fun pop music, positive energy, you could still go downtown Detroit and see a show, no Oprah juggernaut... Great underground scene and hardcore like Black Flag (We're gonna be a white minority!) that set the stage for 'grunge' and 'alternative' and so on. Reagan was President, people were proud to be American, hip hop hadn't even begun to empower niggers and poison whites and asians, AIDS was a rumor that was just starting, niggers knew their place, and girls could be ladylike and cute without being absolute ***dumpsters to attract abusive boyfriends and groids. Whether I love all of the songs, I can't help get nostalgic when I hear stuff like this. Plus, duh gypshuns was crackers, whip crackers that is! I'll walk like an Egyptian any day, upright! :rolls
