Thanx for the tool

Some of you guys have been saying that Tool is the best band happening in the present day. I have been ignorant of them but bought Lateralus today. Thanx alot, now I have to go buy all there albums cds. My wife is going beat me about the head for spending more money on music. But I get the last laugh, the bruises will fade, but good music is eternal. Thanx to the Tool fans that turned me onto them but curse you too (haha).

Glad you are enjoying Tool. I saw them 3 times last year, one of the shows was in New Orleans. The best concert of my entire life was in Vegas, 2002, at the Thomas and Mack, Tool. All I can say is that i walked in the arena with a good friend and things weren't as they should be. They played every single song I wanted to hear. And with all their background visual shit going on, it is made for open minded people.

It can't get much better than Tool in my opinion. I don't know what's better, the lyrics or the music. I don't think Tool puts their lyrics into their CD covers, so I would highly recommend checking them out. They are such deep thinkers, it's crazy. Check out the song 46 & 2, A Yale professor even had his class do a paper on it, no shit.

I have had Anemia since 1996 and to this day I still hear different things going on, on that CD.

I used to think Anemia was the best album ever but now I think it's Lateralus, especially under the right setting. Parts of the song Schism are fun to play on guitar. Also, if people listened to the message of some of their songs, it would make the world a better place.

Vicarious has become one of my favorite songs, off 10,000 Days.

Tool is the shit and I can't say enough about them. I would learn to use limewire though, as they have 5 or 6 albums, if you are wanting to get their entire collection. They also have cover tunes of Stranglehold from Ted Nugent and No Quarter from Zeppelin, Pink Floyd covers, among others.

Here is an old interview with Maynard, the lead singer. They very rarely do interviews and could care less about media attention but yet they go platinum or greater on every album.
