JACKSON, Ga. — A Georgia man convicted of killing an Atlanta preschool teacher more than two decades ago has been executed by state corrections officials.

Emmanuel Hammond was put to death by injection Tuesday at the state prison in Jackson after state and federal courts turned down his appeals. The 45-year-old was pronounced dead at 11:39 p.m.

Hammond was convicted of the 1988 murder of 27-year-old Julie Love, who was abducted in north Atlanta after her car ran out of gas.

Prosecutors say Love was beaten and raped before Hammond took her into the woods, shot her to death and dumped her body into a trash pile.

Investigators didn't find her body until August 1989, when Hammond's girlfriend told police he was responsible for her disappearance.

23 years?!!!!!! Holy Shit!! Why does it takes so long to kill these animals? He confessed. He told them were the body was. He should have been made good right then and there... Or at the very least beat the shit out of him to find out if there were more bodies and then put him down.... Granted, I've never been through the court system before, so I don't know how you can stall a meeting with the reaper for so long unless there is a moratorium on the death penalty in your state. But yeah, 23 years is a fucking joke. I guess it confessed until it realized that a meeting with the needle was now on its schedule, and then all of a sudden, "Iz didn' do nuffin!"

I know one lawsuit the nigger's lawyers threw out was that they didn't know how old the execution drugs were, and were like "Will we know they work?" Well, there's only way to find out!

here in georgia for a nigger to spend 20 to 30 years on death row is about average.makes me sick and ashamed to be from georgia. i have always said ,if you have dna that matches the criminal,give him the jenkum injection the day you get confirmation. one more thing too,if dna matches any criminal,black,white,red,yellow,pecan tan-execute on the spot.

Also for every year you sit on appeal and every $1,000 you cost the system is another minute of painful torture before you die. Niggers like this would be kept in agony for days before death. I do not care for anyone's rights or feelings on death row, let alone a nigger. If you are guilty of murder it should be up to the family how you die. If no family then automatic eye for an eye.

Think of the entertainment value on this. I would want my nigger to be dropped from a plane over the muddaland with an anvil in a parachute bag loony toon style. We could strap impact cameras to it and even have a follow cam. The cost of this would be less than keeping it in jail for 23 years and could provide a job for a pilot and a jumper to film it.
